About Our Club
Titivators Urunga Dragon Boat Club is a sporting club with a reputation for fun and friendliness. We are located on the beautiful Mid-North Coast of NSW in Australia on the banks of the Kalang and Bellinger Rivers only 15 minutes from Coffs Harbour.
Established in 2005 Titivators was the first Dragon Boat club on the Mid-North Coast. Originally formed by Breast Cancer Survivors to provide exercise to help prevent lymphoedema the club has now evolved into a sporting club welcoming anyone from 12 years of age to learn and participate in this exciting sport. Our long standing members are respected for their knowledge and experience in Dragon Boating and have helped a number of other clubs get up and running.
Our members paddle for fun, fitness and competition. We have qualified coaches to train our members and they run our training sessions with an emphasis on working as a team whilst supporting each individual to push themselves to their own personal bests.
We encourage all our members to regularly race in Regattas to enjoy the true excitement and exhilaration of Dragon Boat racing. As an inclusive club, competition is important to us, but it is the fun, laughter, team work and camaraderie that makes our club so special.
We have active members from aged 13 to 78. Both men and women enjoy being a part of our club with the opportunity to paddle just for fitness and fun or at a higher competitive level with pathways into Regional, State and National representation.
The Titivators train 3 times a week – Tuesday evening, Thursday evening and Saturday mornings. We are very lucky to have a Clubhouse on the banks of the Kalang River which is perfect for our post paddle breakfast on a Saturday morning and other social gatherings throughout the year.
All equipment is provided by our club including 2 Internationally approved 12 metre Dragon Boats, lifejackets, paddles and racing gear.
The club is part of the Northern Region of Dragon Boating NSW which is governed by the Australian Dragon Boat Federation and the International Dragon Boating Federation.
